Privacy Policy

Pure Elements Photography is a husband-and-wife portrait studio in Northglenn, Colorado. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We keep this simple on purpose. We are a small studio, not an advertising company. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers described below.

Information we collect

What you send us

When you contact us through the inquiry form on our website, by email, or by phone, we receive whatever you choose to provide. That is typically your name, your email address, and the details of the session you are asking about. If you book a session, we also collect the information needed to arrange and deliver it, such as a phone number, a session date and location, and the names of the people being photographed.

Photographs

If you book a session, we create and store photographs of you and the people in your session. These are personal to you, and we treat them that way. Our use of them is covered in our Terms of Service.

Information collected automatically

Our website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics scripts on it. Our host records standard server information such as IP addresses as part of delivering the site, which is ordinary for any website.

How we use it

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing email to people who have only made an inquiry.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services we need to run the studio, and only as much as those services need:

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

Social media

We maintain a presence on social platforms, including Facebook and TikTok. When you interact with us there, that platform's own privacy policy governs the interaction, and we have no control over what the platform collects. Any content we publish to those platforms is published by us from our own accounts.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as it is useful to answer you and to keep a record of our conversations. We keep client session records and images for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterward, so that you can come back to us for reprints or a replacement gallery. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. You can ask us to stop contacting you. If you have asked us not to publish your images, we will honor that. Email us and we will take care of it — there is no form to fill out.

Children

We photograph children and newborns, always at the request of and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Our website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information online from anyone under 13.

Security

We take reasonable care with your information and limit access to it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
